Static Lumbar 1

This piece is composed of 10 compression tetrahedrons. Each tetrahedron is constructed of 6 steam bent Cedar struts, joined to 4 Poplar tips. Each tip has a cast Pewter fitting to clamp the nylon seine cord tension strings. The caps of the clamp tips are secured with four brass 2-56 screws and hex nuts. The base is Cedar. The individual tetrahedrons are adjusted to give the overall piece a graceful flow from base to top. This piece is 43" tall.
