| In January of 1980, I built 12 of these spinning wheels. They are made form Madrone, another coatal hardwood. I had been interested in spinning for some years. This is a very typical wheel. All the parts move, but there is too much friction, and not enough inertia to actually spin fiber. The rapid sale of these pieces indicated that I had found a product that would move! |
